At Pilgrim, we know that attending a church for the first time can be overwhelming, so we have provided answers to common questions about Sunday worship.

common questions

What time does worship begin?

Sunday worship begins at 10:30 AM. As you enter the sanctuary, you will be welcomed by our pastor, liturgist, and ushers. You will also receive more information about Pilgrim and your bulletin for worship service. Pilgrim is also an accessible building, having a lift at the front of the church just to the west of the adjacent parking lot.

What should I wear?

Please come as you are and wear what is comfortable for you. Most of us wear casual clothing on Sundays, but if you prefer to dress up, you will not be out of place.

Per the current CDC guidelines, masks is not required but encouraged.

Is childcare available?

Nursery care is available during worship for children 5 and under. Our caring staff begin receiving children prior to the start of Adult Enrichment, and children may be taken to the nursery at any point before or during the service, as needed.

Following the Children’s Message during worship, children ages 4-12 are invited to participate in CONNECT, a specially designed worship service for youth. Click here for more information about programming for children.

What happens during worship?

A typical worship service usually lasts about an hour and will include greeting each other, singing hymns, reading Scripture, a children’s message, and hearing a sermon. There is also an opportunity to lift up our joys and concerns as prayers together as a community. Please come as you are and participate as you are comfortable! We serve Communion the first and third Sunday of every month. Jesus welcomed everyone at his table and you are welcome as well, even as a visitor. We invite you to fill out a visitor information card and place it in the offering basket or the visitor card box in the back of the sanctuary.
