The LGBTQ and Allies ministry was formally created to encourage and celebrate Pilgrim church’s welcoming support for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer community.  

It holds periodic social events as a means for members to get involved and to get to know each other better; it keeps the congregation informed about and elicits its support for LGBTQ issues through newsletter articles and announcements in church. It is responsible for outward signs of the church’s Open and Affirming stance, such as banners, posters, and stickers. It participates in each worship service in June leading up to Pride Sunday, when the group is responsible for the whole worship experience.
