Once again the Deacons will be hosting a Thankoffering Dinner in Fellowship Hall, Saturday November 22 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 and dinner will be served at 6:00pm. The Deacons will be providing turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Bring a side dish, beverage, or dessert to share with others. A goodwill offering will be taken for two groups this year.
The Maafa Redemption Project, https://www.maafachicago.org/: Run out of New Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, this project supports young Black and Brown men on the west side in developing into strong community leaders through mentoring, mental health and social services, on-the-job training, education and group bonding.
The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, https://www.icirr.org/ ICIRR is a longstanding Chicago coalition of over 100 organizations dedicated to promoting the rights of immigrants and refugees and their full participation in civil, social, political and cultural life in our communities.
