At worship we celebrate our relationship with God, we strengthen our relationship with each other, and we explore what it means to "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God".
.Join us this Sunday as we welcome Rev. Brittany Caine-Conley, who is currently serving as the Community & Congregational Relations Coordinator for The Night Ministry. Rev. Caine-Conley is a pastor, teacher and organizer who led a faith-rooted movement of resistance to white supremacist violence in Charlottesville. She co-created Congregate Charlottesville to prepare and equip people of faith to show up for matters of justice and do public witness. An ardent follower of the subversive way of Jesus, Rev. Smash (as most call her) always seeks to participate in beloved community, and has done so by participating in anti-racist activism, promoting queer justice, creating alternative communities of faith and supporting asylum seekers. Rev. Smash is ordained in the United Church of Christ.
We are thrilled that Rev. Smash will be bringing our message today. Our focus scripture for this week is Luke 18:1-8. All are welcome to join us!
