During World War II, Japanese Americans were forced from their homes on the west coast and moved into “internment camps.” Come and hear the story of how this happened. Elaine Kaneshiro is Japanese American, born and raised in Chicago and a member of Christ Church Chicago, UCC. As a retired Chicago Public School teacher, she finds her historical presentation particularly timely as today’s political leaders talk of travel bans, walls and a Muslim registry.
