The Exodus narrative is Liberation Theology’s north star. It is from this tale of political resistance and faith-based reliance that we draw our understanding of God’s role in our lives and the world. And in this story we hear resonant language that speaks to our own circumstances as well as the plight of oppressed peoples everywhere. What does it mean to “come out of Egypt”? Why must we claim this experience for ourselves in our own context?
We’ll ask these questions this Thursday, as “Set Free to Be Free” continues in the Resource Room at 7:30.
