Widening the Welcome (Acts 11:19 – 15:35)
The villain formerly known as Saul of Tarsus reemerges as Acts’ great hero. How’s this for irony? The man who devoted his life to religious exclusion becomes Christianity’s greatest radical inclusion champion. How radical? Saul’s restyling as “Paul” disrupts the Early Church, launching its first serious identity crisis. Not to fear, though. The result is a wider welcome, along with a surprising deftness for managing conflict. We welcome Paul to this week’s outing as we continue our tour of Acts in the Chapel at 7:30p.
