The teachings of Jesus and Paul resound with declarations of freedom. “The truth will set you free… If the Son makes you free, you really will be free” (John 8). “Christ has set us free for freedom” (Galatians 5). Why is freedom so vital to Christian theology and experience? Where did the notion of freedom originate? We open a four-part series on freedom with a look at the meaning of life and why belief in God as the source of all life presupposes freedom for all.
Join us this Thursday at 7:30p in the Resource Room as we begin our February conversation, “Set Free to Be Free: Liberation Theology.”
